Since its founding in 1965, the Eagan Police Department has evolved from a Chief and two part-time officers, handling the needs of a small village, to a full-service agency of 71 sworn and 19 support staff, handling over 50,000 calls for service each year in Minnesota’s 8th largest city.
The Eagan Police Department enjoys a well earned reputation for professionalism and responsiveness to the needs of the community. The key to its success is in hiring high quality officers and support staff and providing them with excellent training, equipment and supervision.
