The 20/20 Vision, a project to help shape the direction of Parks & Recreation Department facilities and services for the next 20 years, was accepted by the City Council in November.  The 20/20 Vision will guide the department in a transition from a “Growth Era” with a focus of construction and broad initiatives to a “Change Era” where the focus will be on finding new ways to use the established resources through creative, participant-centered programs and partnerships.

To spearhead the future planning for Eagan's parks, recreation and open space, a large group of community volunteers representing a wide range and diversity of interests was formed.  This Stakeholder Group with the aid of a consultant hired by the City Council held a series of meetings during 2005.
