The Eagan City Council issued the following statement this morning:
After careful analysis, the City of Eagan has decided to appeal the District Court’s decision on the Carriage Hills case. We take very seriously protecting the integrity of the City’s Comprehensive Guide Plan and all the years of careful thought, public participation and work that went into it.
We, as elected officials, have a legal responsibility to protect the integrity of the City’s Comprehensive Guide Plan. Otherwise there would be unrestrained and unplanned development. We think the guide plan is worth fighting for.
