Congratulations to the 2014 Eagan/MN Rural Water Poster Contest winners, Shelly, Annie, Olivia & Megan! All are 4th grade students from Eagan Elementary schools. Olivia and Megan are students from Rahn Elementary, Shelly is a student from Oak Ridge Elementary and Annie is a student from Northview Elementary.
The City of Eagan Utilities Division partners with the Minnesota Rural Water Association and annually holds a poster contest with local schools to promote Groundwater and Drinking Water education to elementary age youth. Every year students are asked to use their creative talents to create a “Water Conservation poster”; each poster is entered into the contest and the winning entries are chosen, one poster from each school. From the three posters selected as local winners this year, Shelly's poster was sent on to represent the City of Eagan at the Minnesota Rural Water Conference held in St. Cloud. This poster will be displayed at the (MRWA Conference) the first week in March. The winning poster chosen at this conference will appear on the cover of the MRWA magazine called "Today". Good luck Shelly, and congratulations to all of our local winners.
